Karp, Big Business, and The Melvins

Karp were a band who split up ten years ago and were once described as "possessing the kind of energy that most metal bands have wet-dreams about". The band name was inspired from a newsletter/zine that one of the members put out in school and is an acronym that stands for "Kill All Redneck Pricks". They released 3 LP's on different labels that are apparently quite hard to get hold of. This song comes from their self titled LP:

Karp - Spelling Trouble

After Karp split up in 1998 the singer Jared Warren formed Big Business with Coady Willis, the drummer from Murder City Devils. This drum 'n bass duo continued Karp's sludgy punk sound and pushed it even further. This song comes from their latest album Here Come The Waterworks.

Big Business - Hands Up

The Melvins along with bands like Flipper pretty much invented grunge. They have influenced countless bands old and new and although they have never had much commercial success, they paved they way for bands like Nirvana and Soundgarden. In 2006 Melvins recruited Big Business to join forces with them and record the album (A) Senile Animal. They also toured with a tour title of "the Double-Drumming Rock for Peace tour".
